Digital Newscasts - After reading the Newberry novel A Long Way from Chicago, students created digital newscasts using "Voki" to provide chapter by chapter news reports.

Monster Exchange Project - A descriptive writing and sketching activity where students exchange monster creations with one another using their descriptive writing skills.

Bridge Building - Students form simulated bridge companies with a $1.5 million budget and construct popsicle stick bridges which are tested for breaking strength.
